Monday Musings

It's Monday.

It's Cold.

It's not even 8am yet and I can already tell it's going to be one of those days.

Maybe we'll make it to the gym.....maybe we won't.

Maybe we'll get out of our jammies.....maybe we won't.

So since it is that kind of day, enjoy today's random talk.

 :: we had a very fall-esque kind of weekend. i highly recommend you slice up an apple + orange, throw a couple cinnamon stix in, a few shakes of whole cloves, and some water...put that baby on the stove to simmer and you'll never want to leave your kitchen. promise!! ::

:: this little cutie was having a rough few days, so we took her to the park...and while she currently looks happy here...when it was time to go, that was a whole different story...and we were back at square one :: 

:: there will be more to come, but here's a sneak peak of baby girl's new big girl room. we've been busy over here making the big switch, and i'm just waiting on the last few things to arrive and it will soon be complete. we moved her last week out of the crib and it went awesome...thank goodness!!! :: 

:: recognize this picture at all? i saw it a while back all over pinterest and loved! finally i decided to take a gander at this girl's blog and she has got some serious chill style- i love!! i'd kind of like to be her friend and dip into her closet every day, and maybe have her style my hair too!

Let's talk about this guy, shall we...

:: while he may look all handsome, i'm about to disown him. he's five and you'd never know it. this dog has more energy than i would even know what to do with. homeboy's world is about to be rocked come february so he better get his you know what together! 

And last but not least, saying a big prayer to all of those in the northeast...especially our family and friends who are prepping for "Frankenstorm" (aka Sandy's) arrival.

Maternity Style

So I'm kind of new to this whole being pregnant in the fall/winter thing, and I must say so far I'm really digging it! 

Last time I was right in the middle of summer...and it was M.I.S.E.R.A.B.L.E....to put it mildly. 

First let me start by saying that me and pants, jeans, leggings, whatever bottom it is, we have a unique relationship. Just ask my Mom, she would spend countless hours with me trying them on to find just the right pair. 

I'm short with a rump and it's not my favorite! 

Now with trying to dress the other "rump" in my life, aka the bump, it's getting to be a little tricky again. Unfortunately this mama pops out big, and this baby girl has already proved just that so pulling off the current pants in my life just ain't happening anymore...and I'm not even gonna try! ;)

And while I would simply love to have a new wardrobe for this new season (you know, because it's my favorite), I think a few staple pieces are going to work just fine!

 I first mentioned here, and this is now making it become official that I really do have to have them in my life! 

And thank goodness for my Mom coming to town tonight because I plan on dragging her shopping with me, it's our favorite pastime together!

Fall on my mind

I've got to admit a little secret. 

I have got Fall on the brain! But I mean who wouldn't with this unbelievable weather we've been having.

Usually I am such a lover of the summer, however, I'm already over this year...for multiple reasons!

This week we've had a small dose of what those fall days upon us will be like and it has been heaven. Our air has been shut off since last week, windows are open and scarves, leggings and cardigans have all made appearances.
ahh, delightful! 

I'm so anxious for cozy scarves, comfy sweaters, boots, my PSL (daily!), sleeping with the windows open every night, going for long walks again and fall fashion.

The Perfect Summer Short

I've never really shopped at Ann Taylor Loft, although not for any particular reason...probably other than the fact it's at the mall and going to the mall these days with baby girl is torture :)

They usually have such great stuff at some pretty great prices.

Well the MIL and myself went to the mall over the weekend to make a return and found ourselves browsing through the store and later walked out with these fancy pants

I didn't want to take them off!

 Comfy and flowy...two of my favorite things!

Pretty sure you will find these on me every week this summer, dressed up or down. 

I even think they will carry me into fall with a sweater and some TB gold flats ;)

A perfect match

I was in love with these shoes when they first came out, however, my feet on the other hand not so much. 

I have super narrow feet, and the DV pair were just way to wide.

Was all set to buy them Easter weekend, but unfortunately no such luck!

So you can imagine my excitement when strolling through Target and found these

While they might not be identical, they are close, and they fit my feet so much better,

And I'm pretty sure my wallet liked them as well, especially since I had a $4 off coupon!

So yeah, obviously they came home with me!
