Happy Halloween

We'll be hosting our annual Chili + Chimnea night and I'm thrilled that this year we can actually sit outside and use the "chimnea" since it is quite chilly here!

Monday Musings

It's Monday.

It's Cold.

It's not even 8am yet and I can already tell it's going to be one of those days.

Maybe we'll make it to the gym.....maybe we won't.

Maybe we'll get out of our jammies.....maybe we won't.

So since it is that kind of day, enjoy today's random talk.

 :: we had a very fall-esque kind of weekend. i highly recommend you slice up an apple + orange, throw a couple cinnamon stix in, a few shakes of whole cloves, and some water...put that baby on the stove to simmer and you'll never want to leave your kitchen. promise!! ::

:: this little cutie was having a rough few days, so we took her to the park...and while she currently looks happy here...when it was time to go, that was a whole different story...and we were back at square one :: 

:: there will be more to come, but here's a sneak peak of baby girl's new big girl room. we've been busy over here making the big switch, and i'm just waiting on the last few things to arrive and it will soon be complete. we moved her last week out of the crib and it went awesome...thank goodness!!! :: 

:: recognize this picture at all? i saw it a while back all over pinterest and loved! finally i decided to take a gander at this girl's blog and she has got some serious chill style- i love!! i'd kind of like to be her friend and dip into her closet every day, and maybe have her style my hair too!

Let's talk about this guy, shall we...

:: while he may look all handsome, i'm about to disown him. he's five and you'd never know it. this dog has more energy than i would even know what to do with. homeboy's world is about to be rocked come february so he better get his you know what together! 

And last but not least, saying a big prayer to all of those in the northeast...especially our family and friends who are prepping for "Frankenstorm" (aka Sandy's) arrival.

Stella & Dot update

I'm sad to report, but my days of being a stylist with Stella & Dot are quickly coming to an end. 

I've had this decision made up for a while, but now the time is almost here. 

Effective January 2013 I will no longer be selling Stella & Dot jewelry. 

Lots of changes are occurring in our household (aka : new monogramming venture + new baby)...so unfortunately something has got to give. 

I just had my last trunk show while up and New Jersey and it was a huge success, so I'm glad to know I'll be going out with a bang! 

My boutique website will still be up and running until after the holidays, so please feel free to place any online orders through there! 

Also, this next week I will be having a BIG Stella & Dot Sample Sale!! If this is something you are interested in and would like to get your name on the email prior to me posting remaining items here, please be sure to comment below with your email address. 

These pieces are in great condition and it's coming at a perfect time with the holidays right around the corner!! 

Oh- and I just have to share. If you saw my last post and the leopard scarf I am wearing..it is the new 'Bryant Park' scarf in Tan...and I have been selling these like hotcakes!!! I just sold two yesterday!

life lately :: week / weekend edition

It's been a long couple of days since getting back into town, and I am way too tired to even begin to write anything. So I will let the pictures from our trip up north do the explaining. I will say though that we had such a fun trip and it was a much needed break from the craziness around here.

Travel Tales

Today begins baby girl and I's travels this fall. We have a few lengthy trips on our schedule and this mama has been busy mentally preparing herself. 

This afternoon we are heading north for the week and I'm looking forward to a little r&r! 

*just say a little prayer as i am 22 weeks pregnant and flying with a 2 year old, solo-NO THANK YOU!!*

A Stella and Dot trunk show, Girls Night Out, fabric shopping and apple picking on a farm are just a few of the fun things we've got on tap.

life lately :: weekend edition

How is it already Monday? The past few days have flown by, but maybe because my Mom and I have been busy little bees since Thursday! 

We started by taking baby girl on a marathon shopping spree (like 4+ hours at the mall) and she surprisingly did really well, except for wanting to be out of the stroller before we could even leave the first store. She had a blast roaming around, and we just kept feeding her food to keep her happy! (don't judge)

And in case you were wondering how we made out in the pant department...

pretty well! 

1 :: These pants!! 

Mama is about two seconds from ordering these! I've always had a little love affair with camo and these were such a perfect fit and style that they are almost too good to pass up. 

2 :: (A must share!) Ya'll, I get that these shoes are SO not what I should be wearing now that I'm in the last half of my pregnancy BUT c'mon, aren't they pretty fab?! 

It took all I had not to walk out of the store with these bad boys in my bag. They have very quickly surpassed my other bootie obsessions and now I'm currently on the hunt to find them somewhere on sale or scour for a coupon code! 

3 & 4 :: Got both of these (and in additional colors)...pretty sure I just found my new uniform. 

Also scooped up these goodies for baby girl at Baby Gap, she was/is still in need of a few fall essentials and they were having a great 40% off sale (hurry up moms, it's still going on and right now they are offering 30% off all online purchases with "GAPCOLOR").

Moving on,

We managed to get all of baby girls closet moved into her new big girl room one, and we unpacked all of the baby bins and got those sweet little newborn outfits hung and the essentials all set up in the nursery! It feels so good having made some progress. Hubs and I also decided to start rearranging the room...major work in progress so ignore, but we are loving the new set-up.

UGH!!

Saturday night we scooted out for a family dinner along with my cousin and his girlfriend. We dined here and had a great time! 

And last but not least, we took a trip to the farmers market to pick up our pumpkins and mums

Thank goodness for it being cold and overcast out because I've got a busy monograming day ahead of me! 

Gummy (aka "Yummy" as baby girl calls her) come back soon...we miss you!! 

Weekend

Plenty of smiles coming your way from this girl over here because it's finally the WEEKEND! 

Mama C is here and we have been busy checking things off! 

While the hubs will be enjoying a little golf action (his days are dwindling big time people, so I'm trying to let him soak it up!), the mom and I will be working on both the nursery and big girl room and doing a slight transformation!

T-Minus 18 days until we move our baby girl into her big girl room. 

We also have a little fall fun planned at a pumpkin patch as well!!

Maternity Style

So I'm kind of new to this whole being pregnant in the fall/winter thing, and I must say so far I'm really digging it! 

Last time I was right in the middle of summer...and it was M.I.S.E.R.A.B.L.E....to put it mildly. 

First let me start by saying that me and pants, jeans, leggings, whatever bottom it is, we have a unique relationship. Just ask my Mom, she would spend countless hours with me trying them on to find just the right pair. 

I'm short with a rump and it's not my favorite! 

Now with trying to dress the other "rump" in my life, aka the bump, it's getting to be a little tricky again. Unfortunately this mama pops out big, and this baby girl has already proved just that so pulling off the current pants in my life just ain't happening anymore...and I'm not even gonna try! ;)

And while I would simply love to have a new wardrobe for this new season (you know, because it's my favorite), I think a few staple pieces are going to work just fine!

 I first mentioned here, and this is now making it become official that I really do have to have them in my life! 

And thank goodness for my Mom coming to town tonight because I plan on dragging her shopping with me, it's our favorite pastime together!
