Wine & Design

Last night was a first! Usually Blair, Marcy and I go out to dinner once a month to just catch up and have some girl time! Well, we thought this month it might be fun to spice it up a little bit. There is this new art studio called Wine & Design....and what a fabulous concept it is. They have a calender for the whole month, and each day you can see what they are going to paint that night. The cost is around $35, and that includes everything that you need EXCEPT your beverage and food of choice! It's such a relaxed, laid back atmosphere! The theme of the night was "Hole N One"....so, voila!
*don't judge, i have't picked up a paint brush since high school*

As I walked back in the house (hubby went to see "A-Team" with the boys), Mr. Duke I guess got bored and decided to pull full sets of shoes, matching shoes at that, out into our living room. Lucky for him, no damage was done!

Happy Tuesday everyone! Big day tomorow, and I can't wait...details to come

Pssst....

Calling all ladies!!!!!!

This product is an absolute MUST!!!
I first heard about the whole "dry shampoo" idea when I went and got my hair highlighted last month. My stylist was telling me all about, and how great it was. I have to say I was a little hesitant when hearing her say that I could go multiple days without washing my hair. I'm usually good for every other day then it starts to look like a big 'ol greasy mess! But then, the other weekend while down in Florida, one of my besties had a bottle of "Pssst" and insisted it was a lifesaver. Well, being that I'm all big and pregnant, and my appearance has taken a step back lately; I am ALL about easyness in my life. We were getting ready for my baby shower, and of course decided to rock greasy curly hair, and with a few sprits of this on my roots....my hair looked good as new!!!! Talk about impressed!!
WELL, yesterday I finally made the $5.99 Walgreens purchase (yes, don't buy the expensive salon stuff, I promise this IS just as great!)! It has already changed my world, seeing as how today is Thursday and I haven't washed my hair GASP, since Monday!
Go out and get yourself some today, I promise you will not be disappointed!

Happy Thursday!!

27 weeks

I am much overdue for a Baby Colt update! Life has been super! crazy and hectic, but the fun kind! I have been trying to cram as much traveling in as possible, as I know I am about to enter my third trimester next week (what? has it really gone by this quick?!?) that my energy levels are going to decrease, and the discomfort level is probably only going to increase! Sleeping has become a big issue for me, and quite frankly turning me into a grouch in the morning, which I know Matt as just loved :) In the past few weeks though, this baby has become soo incredibly active and she is doing a fabulous job at letting her dad and I know that she is in there :) I just sit throughout the day watching my stomach move all over the place, and then nighttime must be her favorite part of the day because she is just punching away. I mean full blown jabs, and of course it's all while I am trying to sleep! However, I wouldn't trade it for the world. It has been the most amazing experience, and I am just more and more ready each day to meet this little peanut!
Matt and I have still been busy getting stuff ready at the house. The big items for her room are almost all purchased, and we are slowly getting it decorated. I am headed back out of town again for the next two weekends, home for one, then we are basically gone every weekend the month of July. So my weeks I am sure will be filled with more "nesting" as they like to call it. Oh- in case anyone was wondering, she is still the "no name baby". We attempted to agree on one while out to dinner celebrating our ONE year wedding anniversary this past weeend...but, no such luck! AND we've decided not to tell anyone what it is either until she makes her debut in September...talk about torture for this girl right here!!

(26 weeks)

Traveling Queen

I was sitting here looking at my calender from now until August, and just got exhausted! I cannot believe that there are only TWO, just TWO weekends that I will be home in Raleigh, but even those are big weekends. One is our 1 year wedding anniversary, the other is a baby shower for little peanut! :) Instead of "Where's Waldo" my husband is probably going to be asking me, "Where's Paige"?! He's probably not complaining since he gets quite a few hall passes coming up.

*Loving this Tory Burch Weekender Bag!*

Happy Weekend Everyone!!

22 weeks

My how quickly time is starting go by. I can't believe I am already halfway through, and things are just moving right along. I had one of my last monthly check-ups this morning, and starting next month I begin going every two weeks...which means we're getting closer and closer. For the most part I am still feeling great. I'm starting to experience some minor back aches, and the tossing and turning at night is becoming a lot more frequent. Last week though I felt little peanut move for the first time. I think in a previous post I mentioned about feeling her kick, but that was something else going on, like all of my organs shifting upwards causing quite a bit of pain. I'm so anxious to start feeling her kick more and more, and for Matt to be able to feel her.

This past weekend the in-laws were here, so my father-in-law was able to help with putting together the baby furniture. They got the dresser/changing table put together first and it looks great! Then, they moved on to opening the crib box, to later find that they shipped us the WRONG color!! We were so bummed because we I was really excited about seeing it all start to come together. But we're getting there, slowly. Here's a little sneak peak....decorated with one of my bubble outfits that I wore as a baby 28 years ago :)

Tickled Pink Y'all

Check out fellow blogger friend over at Tickled Pink!! She was so sweet to blog about my new venture with Stella & Dot! Anna and I used to work together at Uniquities a few years back. She is GREAT and I really enjoyed working with her...she was always so bubbly, which you needed that kind of attitude there to deal with all the drama that existed!! We've kept in touch lately through Facebook, and I was so excited to hear she was going to start a blog! Thanks Anna for the shout-out!! :)

30 Rocks

I'm a little late in posting a recap of the hubby's 30th birthday bash up north! It was such an awesome weekend! My brain is fried at the moment, so I'll let the pictures do the talking. Overall, the surprise, but not such a surprise trip was a hit and he loved it!!

Nesting

Oh the joys of nesting. It has officially begun at our house. The weather was not very pretty this weekend, so I took advantage of couping myself up in the house and beginning to organize. Our house unfortunately has VERY little closet space, and well, between both of us we have A LOT of clothes! So, I packed a bag full to donate, multiple bags to take to the consignment store to sell, and then boxed up almost my entire closet into colored tubs (easy to find) of pre-preggie clothes that hopefully I can pull back down come Sept/Oct. That is probably wishful thinking on my part :) Now there is room for all the maternity clothes I've purchased (and some SUPER friends who have been sweet enough to lend me theirs) that have now taken over my closet. And sweet little peanut already has quite the wardrobe piling up that it is half squeezed in with daddy's clothes and half still in the bag. But we made big strides this weekend, as on Sunday we ventured out to purchase peanuts crib and changing table/dresser. I sure do hope she is happy with it...we like it! It should be delivered on Friday, so hopefully by weekends end it will all be up, and so begins the decorating! I can't wait!!! We also managed to scoop up a new dining room table while out and about, so once that is up, I'll post pictures.
I also sat for at least 2 hours on Sunday night trying to make a dent on our registry. WOW- baby registering is not at all what wedding registry was like. I have read review after review after review. Unless you've had a baby, it's really the only way to know if what your looking at is good quality or not. Luckily I am extrememly fortunate enough that I have quite a few friends who have had babies, and two who have little ones on the way. Everyone is alway so sweet to forward "the baby essentials" on to you.
No, while this was only one weekend of "nesting" under our belt...there are still many to go. We've both got a date in mind we're striving to have her room all wrapped up, so we'll see if we can make that happen!!
