Greetings from Florida

Hello! And a quick hello it will be. Whew- it has been a whirlwind since we stepped foot into the Tampa city limits. We've crammed in seeing as many people as we can. We have shopped shopped and more shopped (Tampa has great shopping that I have oh so missed!).  I have taken Lills to all of my favorite restaurants, the top two being Wright's Gourmet and Woody's Greek Salad's. If you are ever in the area, GO! I grew up eating at both and they will not disappoint, I promise!
Here are just a couple pictures from visiting my sweet sweet Grandmother. It was so cute, she wanted a name for Lillian to call her, so Grannie it is. And I love it.

 I have been so grateful for the time I've spent here since Friday. Makes me realize I need to come home more than I do! Only one more day left to enjoy myself here, then it's back to Ponte Vedra Beach where I'll be reunited with more family....the hubby and fur baby, sis and bro, dad and deb!

Happy Thanksgiving Week!

Wish me luck...

because while you are reading this, I am currently in the car making my way down to Florida...just me, myself and baby girl! This is one of those trips I have been slightly dreading doing by myself, but I keep saying "Paige, you are a mom now and you can do this". So that is just what I am going to do. We are going to get up at the crack of down, hook up my IV with coffee, turn up the Christmas tunes and hit the road and not even think about it. And as much as I have thought about how this car ride is going to go, we're just gonna have to roll with it. Stopping to go to the restroom shall be rather interesting considering she is not walking...
But back to the trip- we are making the rounds to see all of my family, and friends too! I'm so excited to "show" Lills Tampa, where her mama grew up. I know it is not something she will remember, but it's special enough to me that we'll forever have these memories and pictures to show it. We'll be splitting our time between there and Ponte Vedra Beach, then concluding our trip after Thanksgiving. Thankfully the hubs and fur pup are meeting us down there!

Let's just hope that baby girl cooperates with her new dvd player and that it provides some serious entertainment for our combined 10+ hour car ride.

So I will apologize in advance while I disappear from the blogosphere for a little bit, but my hands are going to be full for the next 10 days.

If I don't make it back here to update, I hope everyone has a truly wonderful Thanksgiving Day! Everyday I am incredibly thankful for the many blessings that I have in my life.

Crewcuts Baby

J.Crew just stepped it up a notch in my book. Did anyone else notice that they started carrying their crewcuts line for babies?!? I was purusing the site for some Christmas ideas, and stumbled upon this delightful news. I may have even gasped out loud!! I am already thrilled that baby girl is almost big enough to start wearing their crewcuts, and let's just say Mama may be getting into some trouble when that happens.
Here are a few cuties that may have to enter our world when babe #2 comes along.

{hello baby cashmere!}
Now I'm just waiting for them to jump on the maternity bandwagon, then J.Crew will be good as golden!

All wrapped up

Gift Wrap.
 I have a mini obsession with it.
the paper : the bows : the bags : the tags : the gift
 ALL OF IT

Growing up I used to even wrap my own Christmas presents, without peaking of course. For years now I have wanted to start my own little gift wrapping boutique for others. And while I really want to follow through with this idea, I have still yet to perfect how I go about doing this and getting my name out there. Or more, if folks would actually take advantage of this service. What do you guys think??
So if any of you readers out there dislike present wrapping, give a girl a shout, and I'd be glad to get in touch with you about taking care of that for you. My attempt at a self plug right there.

Wedding Recap

A little past due, but better late than never.
It is safe to say we survived the Settecasi + Simpson wedding weekend! Whew! I was a little worried considering this group can definitely rally. It gave the hubs and I a good excuse to leave our parent hats behind in Raleigh and bring our A-game to Amelia Island. And I'm pretty sure that was accomplished.

{coffee + morning walk on the beach}

 {the cutest little ring bearers}

{Lexy wore my wedding veil as her "something borrowed" and I must say it looked amazing with her dress, and meant so much to me that she wore it!}

 {Fonzi and I}

{Dad & Deb}

 {Photobooth entertainment}

{car ride + post wedding remedy}

I'm sad to report that this concluded weddingpalooza 2011! Not to worry, we'll be ready to gear back up next May & June with what might be our final two weddings for a while.
