Rainy Days...

Are the best kind of days, don't ya think?! As I sit here listening to the rain fall outside my window, with my pumpkin spice flavored coffee in hand, watching Kathie Lee and Hoda (my new fave morning show!) and watching my little munchkin sleep in her bouncy...I find myself dreaming. Dreaming about these lovelies (is that a word?!) and wishing I could be decked out in them when I have to brave the storm later today.
So, what's your favorite thing to do on a rainy day? I think you know what mine is ;)
Happy Thursday
XO

Everyone needs a pair of Hunter Rain Boots (I'm still waiting for mine)...

and a Burberry Trench Coat (this too!)...

and a Vintage Umbrella...

and for those more casual days, a good North Face jacket will do just the trick...

Pears & Bears

While visiting one of my favorite blogs, Fly Through Our Window, I stumbled across this adorable site with adorable clothes. Each month Darby at FTOW features different sponsers, and Kayce Hughes happens to be one of those for the month of October. Go ahead and take a peak at what this site has in store...happy shopping!

Don't you just love this navy corduroy dress below? First of all, it is great for this amazing fall weather we are having. And second, the look would be complete with a little skinny belt, and a great pair of either brown riding boots or cowboy boots. Terribly want to purchse!

This is such a classic and crisp looking white top, I love!! Would look great paired with a pair of black leggings, or a pair of skinny jeans and ballet flats (or TOMS)!

And well, the children's line is PRESH!! One sampling is below, but check out the rest here!!

It's a good thing my little one can hardly fit in her 0-3 month clothing because it's too big, otherwise I would be all over this site (although I'm pretty sure the hubs would not approve) :)

Happy Fall Ya'll

I feel like after this weekend, I can officially say that. Whew, I am ever so glad to greet this new season!! After being pregnant ALL summer, and spending a majority of my time sweating and being uncomfortable...I cannot wait to get bundled up and step out into the crisp cold air. With fall, brings so many joys that light up my life :)
Pumpkin Spice Lattes, Pumpkin Bread, Pumpkins...basically anything with the word "pumpkin" in it!  Mums, Boots, Scarves, chunky sweaters, dark nail polish, long walks, football, state fairs, Uggs, chimnea nights, chili, halloween...I could go on and on, but I'll stop there.

We had LGC's newborn pictures taken this past Friday morning, and she was such a little trooper! Amy Free came to Raleigh to capture some special moments with our family and I CANNOT wait to see how the rest of them turn out. Thank you Amy...you are awesome!!

Temptation

All I can say is Lillian MUST have one of these below!!  Talk about preciousness, and absolutely perfect for this amazing fall weather we are having...and the winter which is upon us. I think my favorite is the Patagonia Vest (which would match her daddy's staple piece). What's your vote??
Happy "Fall" Weekend!!!

Introducing....

Little miss Lillian Gray!!! I  know I am about 3 weeks late introducing her into the blogging world, but obviously things have been a little hectic. And one of the many things that has fallen through the cracks, has been my lack of blogging! I am however going to make a point to get back on track, just don't be suprised at first if the posts are more of pictures rather than words. With the lack of sleep I often get at night, it's a miracle I can carry on a conversation during the day. But oh is it ever SOOO rewarding and worth it!! We are absolutely loving life with Lillian in it, and can't even begin to imagine what it was like before she arrived. We have been so truely blessed at this little miracle of life and the joy she has brought us.
Here are a few pictures of LGs' arrival...

Tres Chic:Kitchen

While the hubs and I have done quite a bit of work and renovations to our home, there is still one room that needs a major face-lift...the KITCHEN! It isn't bad, just rather small, lacks counter space and has tall cabinets that really aren't usable. Our dining room is right off of it, which essentially has two walls that can easily be knocked down to create a much larger, functional space. I like to use the excuse that I would cook more if I had more space to work with, but somehow I don't think my hubby buys that one :) Anyway-while browsing through my daily reads aka: blog reading I stumbled upon Elements of Style and this little brownstone kitchen that she helped renovate. I must say, I am obsessed with the trellis like wallpaper backing the glass shelves (see below). It definitely sparked a ton of ideas, and has me very excited for when the time comes to taking out the hammer and begin doing some tearing down. It's the one room in the house that I can't wait to do a little restructuring and designing. Below are a few other ideas that I would love to incorporate...

Final Countdown

It is finally here...the last week (hopefully) before the arrival of our little peanut! And boy are we ready!! It's so hard to believe that by Sept 17th or 18th at the latest, she will be here. And then, I can finally refer to her by a name!!! Yes, the hubs and I at last have a name picked out. I don't know that I thought the day would ever come, but we decided. We're thrilled and can't wait to share the fun news.
Unfortunately while at the doctor this week there wasn't much change, so we continue to wait! She's still snug as a bug and healthy (which is all that matters!), but I'm hoping that since "Labor Day" is upon us this weekend, perhaps she'll decide to make an appearance. That would be fitting, now wouldn't it?! :)

Here's to hoping that the next 'baby update' will actually be an update on her arrival! Come on out baby girl, we are ready to meet you!!
Stay tuned
