Flowers all around me

Now that Spring is in the air, doesn't the site of fresh flowers just make you want to dance? I love driving around, seeing all of the lovely blooms surrounding me. I also find that I frequent places like Trader Joes, The Fresh Market and Whole Foods weekly, grabbing as many bunches as I can get of some of my favorites...tulips, gerber daisies, hydrangeas, and lilly's. I love walking into my house, smelling their sweet scent and their bright colors glowing in each room. As a matter of fact, I'm making my first trip of the season on Thursday to snag up some of these beauties for my Easter weekend display!

Beach Fever

Who is ready for SUMMER?!? I know I sure am, especially on a gorgeous day like today! These days that pop up here and there are just a big ol' tease! I'm sitting here at my office day-dreaming as I sit here and stare outside at the amazing sun shining. Want a little dip into my head to see what I'm drooling over?

I wish...

That I was currently at this adorable beach house...

Sleeping in a room like this...

Sunbathing by the pool under this sassy pink umbrella...

Trolling around town on this beach cruiser (which are my fave!)...

And strutting my stuff in one of these fabulous outfits!!!

C'mon summer time!! You are so close...but still just a tad out of reaching distance!

Happy Thursday everyone!!

Remember Me...

Even though Saturday was the first official day of Spring, it was beyond amazing out, I still chose to go to the movies. Val and I saw "Remember Me" (you know, the one with hottie Rob Pattison in it?!), and wow- what a movie! We are so glad we did not read any of the reviews because it would have given it away. We knew there would be some sort of twist, but no clue what to expect, and boy were we surprised...to say the least! It was definitely one of those that we both sat in silence afterwards and then proceeded to walk around North Hills talking about it for the next hour! Personally I recommend it and give it a two thumbs up. I know this isn't much of a review, but if you go see it, then you'll understand why I'm not writing much!

Let's see, besides gazing at hottie Rob for two hours, Matt and I had a pretty productive weekend. He bought a new wood chipper and decided to chip away in the backyard the better part of Sunday. We also completely moved his office down into the basement! Poor sweet hubby is getting the boot, but we are slowly making the transition of bedrooms to create a nice little new home for the baby :) I keep going back and forth on which room to use, so hopefully I can make up my mind soon! And then I ventured away for a bit yesterday to have some girl time while hosting a Stella & Dot trunk show! Overall it was a supurb weekend, and now I'm ready to tackle the week ahead!!!

Happy Monday!

Blue or Pink

The countdown is on for us as next Thursday morning we find out if we're having a "mini Paige" or "mini Matt"! It can't come soon enough...I'm so excited!!! I added a little blog poll over on the right to vote for what you think Baby Colt is going to be!!! Let us know if you think Team Pink or Team Blue is going to takeover the Coltrera household!!!! We'll be anxious to see what you think, as we certainly have no idea!!

Fun Times

Last night I had a great time celebrating my birthday with my girlfriends!! We went to yummy Porters and had a delicious dinner, amazing cupcakes from The Cupcake Shoppe (my fave!), tasty water (mmmm :) ), and even better company!! I think that finally concluded my 28th birthday celebrations for the year. Here's a couple (unedited) pictures from the evening. I was too tired when I got home last night to even open my laptop.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!! I'm headed to see the new Robert Pattison movie "Remember Me" tomorrow afternoon, so I'll be back Monday with a mini movie review. Looks like a good movie, but not quite sure what the twist is going to be?!

Happy Friday! xo

H&M Debut

It's about time!!! H&M is coming to Raleigh...more specifically, Crabtree Valley Mall!!! I have traveled just to go to this store. The price points are awesome, and it mimics some of the high fashions out there that you might not be loving the price tag on it. I am not a fan of the terrible crowds that usually accompany the stores, but at the same time, it's almost impossible to walk out of there with not at least one item in your bag! I am also a little more excited than usual about it's opening, because this store is also going to carry maternity and baby/children clothing. And well, if you have ever looked to see how insanely expensive maternity clothing is, then you would be jumping for joy too at this revelation. The store is set for it's grand opening at noon on March 18th (one week from today!), so mark your calenders ladies! I know where I'll be next weekend.
Happy bargain shopping!!

14 Weeks

I am officially into my 2nd trimester, which is crazy! I just had my 14th week appt, and everything is looking great!! Unfortunately Matt couldn't make this one, but I got to hear the heartbeat for the first time which was absolutely amazing! It seems so real now, that there is this little human being growing inside you. Only two more weeks to go until we find out if it's a baby girl or baby boy!!
*This week Baby Colt is the size of a lemon*

Suit Up

On a sunny, warm(er) day like today, all I can think about is SRPING and SUMMERTIME!!! Dining outside, going for long walks with the pooch, riding in the car with the windows down and the sunroof back, ahhh- what could be more delightful than that?! There is something about this time of year approaching, that makes you walk around with a permanent grin on your face...I love it! I can honestly say that if this weather begins to stick around for the next bit, I think it will be time to get the tubs out and begin packing up all those big grandma sweaters and cords, and say goodbye until next fall. See, already that just puts a smile this pale face. And while I can't say that this summer is going to be 'quite' like the ones before (as I will have an extrememly large round tummy attached to me) but I'm still jumping for joy to put a dress on...and believe it or not, a bathing suit. If being preggers during the summer isn't motivation enough to get to the gym everyday, then I don't know what is. I let myself slide the first few months, because I felt like crap- but now there is no excuse. Here is some extreme motivation...check out these fabulous bathing suits this season. I am dying for all of these one-pieces, and I love this purple bikini below! Oh and of course I had to throw in a more practical one (see bottom tankini), which I have seen in person and is actually pretty cute!
Happy "Sunny" Tuesday!!! xo

Hit or Miss

I usually only remember to catch a glimpse of the Oscars, but not last night. We watched all pre-shows, the red carpet and main event! Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin were the perfect pair to host this grand event! And I just adore admiring the gorgeous gowns that the actresses choose, and to see which ones get trashed! For the most part, I would say they were all full of class...however, there were a few that I didn't like so much. Those top two being J-LO (aka: Jennifer Lopez) and Charlize Theron. Of all dresses, I think Sarah Jessica Parker (wearing Chanel Haute Couture) wins it for me with two thumbs up. I just thought it was so elegant, simple and beautiful! Which was your favorite dress??
