36.5 weeks

Here we are...just a few days shy of being "full term"! That definitely makes it feel more real now. We are ready over here and waiting!!!

Baby Size :: 6 pounds...18.5 inches...think crenshaw melon size (ugh- that just sounds heavy)

Weight Gain :: maybe the scale was wrong, maybe it wasn't...but i stayed the same weight from my 34 week check-up.

Current Cravings :: ice is still a bad one...but is almost starting to leave this bad taste in my mouth, so i'm hoping this weird addiction is preparing to be out the door! dinner has slowed down which means i've been eating lots of cereal instead. the chips craving has picked back up, AND so has my fast food craving, which actually has been tame this go round, so i'm not feeling guilty at all.

Baby News :: we went for our last and final ultrasound this past wednesday to check on my fluid levels, and thankfully everything checked out great! i had issues in my last pregnancy, so they wanted to make sure i wasn't on the same path. the doctor said the baby couldn't look any more perfect, and is sitting way head down...so that is good (well, and bad...the pressure is becoming OOC)!!
i've started getting "checked" and not too much action, but there is always next time ;)

Complaints :: my lower back has been giving me fits..and thanks to my amazing mother, i am getting a 90 minute prenatal massage tomorrow and I CANNOT WAIT!!!! i'm really hoping she can get this tense body all loosened up before it gets traumatized again during labor! oh, and sleeping just flat out sucks now. i think the hubs wakes up every time i move because i'm always moaning every time i turn over.

Exercise :: oh we're good if we make it to the gym once or twice a week lately. i mainly go so baby girl can have some play time. and i just walk ever so slowly on the treadmill and continue to do the same weights i've been doing. will probably attempt here in the next week or so to pick up on the walking in hopes of walking this baby girl out!

Maternity Style :: everything is so darn uncomfortable these days! i however refuse at this point to buy one single thing maternity, so i will continue to wear the same 2 pair of leggings and the same 2 pair of jeans (which i can't wait to strip out of when home). if i'm being honest- i hate leaving my house now because i dread wearing normal clothes.

Life Happenings / Baby Prep :: i am happy to report that we are about 100% all ready for this little girl to arrive. i spent all last week washing all of her clothes and bed linens, everything is all organized in her closet, baby equipment is pulled down from the attic and set up, car seat is cleaned
my hospital bag is about half packed, minus the last minute grab-n-go items and lillian's notes/lists are all printed and ready. matt swears i am going to go into labor again in the middle of the night, and of course i am worried about my current girlie more than anything, so am trying to make sure i have all my ducks in a row for her.

*on another note, my amazing friends hosted a little baby sprinkle for us a week ago and it couldn't have been more perfect! we are so lucky to have such wonderful family and friends!!!

 {such a lucky little girl who was gifted some pretty fabulous things}

{seriously delicious gigi cupcakes}
{my baby blanket 30 years ago that my mom "fixed up" by hand so that i could pass down to our sweet girl}

{my mom knitted a hat + pair of baby leg warmers!}

Hurry on up February...

I'm anxious for you to get here!

Monograms update

I think it's been a little while (more like a long while) since I've updated you all on how the monogramming business is going.

Since having officially launched in September, I have been busy busy!!! I have been very thankful to have some amazing customers, many of them who keep coming coming back...so hey, that's got to be a good thing, right?!

It's definitely been a balance trying to find the time between mom life, home life and baby prepping. But I've been managing to find the time and it's working...and I'm thrilled!

Here's just a very small sampling of the things I've been working on these past months...

While I am still not carrying product yet, we are moving forward in that direction and I am really pushing for this summer to have this option available.

I have a rather lengthy goals and to-do list that I am continuing to achieve, and thankfully we still have a long way to go here in 2013.

I'm getting anxious to share those things I have in store, however, a few more things to work out.

Unfortunately the shop is closed for now, until after this baby girl makes her arrival next month, but am hoping to start back up in April some time.

If you haven't "liked" The Lavish Thread yet via Facebook, be sure to head on over and do so now. I'm so close to 200 likes!!!

Ya'll are the best!!

Randoms

It's Tuesday...haven't slept in a few nights, and this is all I have for you today.

A bunch of randomness...

{found these little lovlies at costco last week and couldn't pass up getting them for Lill's big girl room}

{i think i died and went to heaven when i spotted these at the grocery store recently. we ate these back in the day every time we went to go visit my dad and they are AMAZING!! my sis and i haven't seen them in years and thought sister shubert stopped making them, but apparently not. they are so bad for you but taste oh so good. i definitely grabbed a few packages of them and smiled as i did.
go find them now!}

{this childhood classic arrived in the mail and couldn't have come at a better time (thanks yummy!). we had quite a few lazy days around here and this was the perfect distraction for both mommy and Lills}

{yes you are seeing this correctly....that would be a bag of crushed ice accompanying me in the front seat of my car. i've mentioned here and here that my pregnancy ice craving is out of control, and well i  gave into a little bit more by going to sonic and asking them to bag me up some of their deliciously crunchy crushed ice. pretty sure it was the best $1.50 i've spent in quite some time!}

{it was a gorgeous day last friday, so we took advantage and had ourselves a picnic in the front yard...it was a moment i really enjoyed}

{this little nugget has been my fun side-kick lately, and i'm trying to soak in as much time with her as i can, HOWEVER, she sure has been giving her mom and dad a big run for their money. don't let that cute face fool you, she has got some major sass to her and oh has it been shining lately!}

{a sassy example...she lived in her princess dress ALL weekend and refused to take it off this past friday night when we went out to north hills and the office supply store. you know, some things just aren't worth the fight...and well she made us laugh, so that's all that matters.}

And for a good laugh...
{at breakfast the other morning up north, this happened to be the coffee mug i grabbed without noticing...my hubby found it rather amusing and quite fitting lately ;) }

2013

This is what I've been looking like a lot these days.

The holidays did this mama in, and I've officially hit my "uncomfortable" stage.

While they were a blast and worth me wearing myself out for, it is time for me to now put my feet up, attempt to stay healthy (that's been a slow start- darn you cold...again!) and spend as much time snuggling up with my baby girl as I possibly can...and even try to squeeze in a few date nights with my hubby!

I've been enjoying reading everyone's New Year's resolutions, and while I sometimes make a list and sometimes actually stick to it...this year I will not be because it will just make me more depressed that I am probably going to be eating more and working out less than usual.

Is there a "Mid Year's" resolution plan out there, because let's face it, June is probably going to be when I finally start getting my act together.

Be Merry

I'm signing off for the remainder of the holidays!

But I couldn't do that without wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and an amazing start to the New Year!!!

See you in 2013!!

30 (almost 31) Weeks

Hello THIRD trimester!!

It is pretty hard to believe that I am in the last 10 weeks of my pregnancy. And with the craziness of Christmas being next week, then New Years, and then lots of baby prep...it's going to be no time before our "still no name" little girl is going to be here!! While I am already seriously dreading the no sleeping at night and walking around like a zombie, I have to say I am a ridiculous kind of excited to get my hands on a tiny little baby again!! And I am still so lucky to have a current cuddle bug, but there's just something about a sweet innocent baby who isn't trying to wiggle their way out of you, that just brings a smile to my face.

Picture ::

Baby Size :: 3 pounds...15.7 inches...think head of a cabbage size

Weight Gain :: according to the doctor I'm doing okay, so we'll leave it at that. she notices i have my boots on every time i'm in there, so said i could probably even deduct a few lbs from what they have recorded...i'll take it!!

Current Cravings :: ice is still a bad one...like really bad! grilled cheese + tomato soup...multiple times a week! fritos with cream cheese. chocolate...nothing new there. oh- and this might be my first really strange craving, but i was at the grocery store earlier and walked by the hot bar and spotted an egg roll that i just HAD to have. i came home and devoured that thing like i hadn't eaten in days....it was SO good!! oh, and red wine...really been getting the itch!!
**see picture and don't judge. we had a night out...so in one hand i have a giant cup of crushed ice and in another, a giant glass of red wine. now mind you, i ended up splitting that glass into another, but it was delish**

Baby News :: not much news here. it feels like she is swimming around in there all the the time. we're having lots of poking and prodding near the belly button, which is kinda freaking me out. i have a majorly weird thing about belly buttons and with this pregnancy it has popped. so you can only imagine how that weirdness has only escalated.

Complaints :: my neck and back are killing me! i can feel that now the weight of my belly is pulling me forward therefore creating this terribly annoying strain! my circulation problem has been about the same lately, but can't say i'm thrilled about (2) 8+ hour drives coming up very soon. and only the past couple nights has sleeping been an issue, but that is mainly due to the fact that i have been hot!

Exercise :: gym...what gym! i had still been doing good with going, but then the hubby passed along his sickness to me last week and well that came to a halt! and unfortunately with this crazy time of year, i just haven't had the time to get back in there. being healthy (and keeping current baby girl healthy) is a little bit more important right now since Christmas is a week away! i'll get back in there after the new year...and hopefully walk this baby out!

Maternity Style :: more and more yoga style pants. i seriously live in them while i'm at home. i usually can't wait to get back to the house so i can throw on the lounge wear.

Life Happenings / Baby Prep :: we have sort of stalled in this department and i have to say i'm finally starting to get a little stressed about it, but figure i'm going to have plenty of time in january while i'm mourning that Christmas is over. last weekend we did manage to completely rearrange the furniture and re-hang some pictures. it's kind of nice to stare at a different setup considering everything else is going to be the same. but for some reason the way we switched it makes the room look a lot bigger and even higher ceilings. i've also started all of my "to-do's before baby" lists so we're slightly getting there on the organization front.

Florida trip recap

I mean this post is a little past due now (typical- I started it a week ago)

We arrived home last weekend from our 8-day excursion down to Florida!

My sweet sister flew in from Atlanta to drive all the way down with us. Lucky for her (and me!) it was one of baby girls best road trips, so it honestly wasn't as terrible as I was anticipating.

We went and went and went while we were there!! I don't get home very often, so there was lots to do and see.

We got to visit with my mom, grandma, friends and babies....always good for the soul!

Lillian was a trooper considering she went most days without naps, and 10pm bedtimes.

The trip definitely wore this mama out being 27 weeks pregnant, but I just kinda rolled through it the best I could. Not going to lie though that when we got home it felt oh so good to be back in my own bed!!

Just a few of my favorites from our trip. I was exceptionally bad taking pictures this time, but clearly I had my hands full....

:: Lills with "Betty" as she kept liking to call her ::

:: we got to meet up at the park with two of my besties and one of their daughters...and someone did not want to leave the cool red swing ::

:: we just adore my sweet grandmother and i'm so glad we have these pictures ::

:: my little turkey ::

Is anyone else as excited as I am about December being here.

We take it real serious.

Tartan

What could be any more classic at this time of year?

TARTAN

The pattern of the season!!

I'm obsessed!

And personally could stare at it everywhere in my house, and wear it everyday!

We're in need of new stockings for next year with our newest addition coming and I think those stockings might just be the perfect ones!
