Christmas came early

Thanks to everyone for their feedback on Mac Books! We bolted right over to the mall this past Saturday morning and scooped one right on up! A nice little 15" Mac Book Pro. I wish I could say that I am hooked already, but I've barely had two seconds to sit and play around with it, we've been so busy. I'm off to NJ with the baby in tow for the entire week, so I imagine I will have some time to explore the new wonderful, amazing world of Apple computers.

Hippity Hippity Hop

As much as I wanted to get Lills a personalized Easter basket this year, I didn't. I was hoping to wait until Pottery Barn Kids put all of theirs on sale, and then I'd scoop one up. Well, the email came out that they were 40% off, so I click "open", and to my dislike they were all gone! There went that idea. So in the meantime until I can find her "real" Easter basket, I decided to get crafty and make one for her. So here is what we got....(i'm sure you can spot the theme I decided to go with:)) She looks so precious in purple!

Tonight we are going to see this guy....

This will be my first Jimmy Buffett concert and I must say I am quite psyched for it! While I am surprisingly not a huge fan (or really only know his big hits), I don't doubt that it's going to be an amazing show. So I figured since his days are probably numbered with performing, I might as well check it out and see what his show is all about.

Music to my ears

If only you all could see my true excitement over here as I write this blog post. Folks, the time has finally come. We got a little news, therefore the hubs said "I was thinking you could go ahead and get you a new laptop"...aka your new MacBook!!! These are words I have been waiting for what seems like a lifetime to hear. It is no secret that my current IBM laptop, who has been loyal to me for the past 6 years, is on the fritz. It's one of those that you sometimes can't unplug from the power outlet, or it turns off. You can't plug the power outlet into the laptop without moving the mouse cursor at the same time, or it freezes. If you keep it open for too long, it overheats. And what really peeves me these days, is that I have Photoshop, yet because my computer doesn't cooperate properly, I can barely use this program to its fullest potential. Insert tear. Now, I'm hoping that with one spare (HA) weekend coming up soon, the hubs and I can take a trip over to the Apple store to start researching which one is the best for what our needs are. In the meantime, for any of you MacBook pros out there, any feedback/suggestions on which one, features, size, etc would be most helpful!

Busy Weekend

Mama's weekend away

Right now I'm on a jet plane headed here....

I haven't been to New Olreans since I was probably 10, but I must say that this place is one of my fondest memories of the great city...

No real big surprise...I mean coffee and doughnuts, what's not to love?!

The reason for my trip, to celebrate this girl....

It's a dual Bachelorette party with only 24 of their closest friends!! Fun times!

On another note, it's my first weekend away from my baby girl since she was born, and I can't believe she is 7 months old today!!

Divine Consign

A couple weeks ago, I snatched up these adorable finds at the Divine Consign Show that came to Raleigh. If you live in the Atlanta area, Raleigh or Montgomery, I highly recommend checking it out. You'll definitely work up a sweat sorting through lots of racks, but it's worth it! Can't wait to see LGC rocking these...if only the spring weather would decide to greet us again :( This weather lately has been absolutely the pits.
